The Rigsarkivet, Denmark holds the records of the central bodies of the Danish government such as ministries and agencies as well as digital records for a number of municipalities and regions. Since the mid 1970s the Rigsarkivet has received transfers of digital records and was among the first national archives in the world to allow fully digital record keeping. The high level of digitization of the Danish administration means that the Rigsarkivet each year receives hundreds of digital transfers of data and documents from the IT-systems of the agencies and other government bodies
